A Winters Express Letter to the Editor

I expect more and better!

A notice was distributed last week, without official seal or contact info, that Abbey will be resurfaced today (Sept. 7) and that the street needs to be cleared and closed by 7 a.m. It also stated that any vehicles left after that time will be towed. Most residents complied and moved their vehicles before 7 a.m. At 8 a.m. there were cars still parked on the street. It is now 9:30 a.m. and the contractors are going door to door trying to find the owners of the vehicles. Still no cars have been ticketed or towed. The last car parked in the street closure was towed after 10 a.m., and appeared to cause a delay in the resurfacing. Wouldn’t it be better for the city to provide better support to ensure we can get the best bang for our bucks?

But there is a shining star, the contractors did an excellent job.
