The Historical Society of Winters would like to thank the community for their support of the Winters History Museum on the Big Day of Giving! Your contributions will help us fulfill our mission of preserving and sharing the rich history of Winters through educational events, research, oral histories, and photo and artifact exhibits. If you haven’t visited our Museum yet, please come by! We are at 13 Russell Street and open Thursday through Sunday 2-6 pm. Our first exhibit featured the Winters Express and the Wallace family. Our second featured the history of Youth Day. Starting May 9, the Winters Plein Art Festival will exhibit all the paintings of Winters’ landscape. We are planning an exhibit to begin in July that will feature the history of agriculture in Winters. Since we are just in the planning stages, we would love any suggestions as to what you would like to see or perhaps what you might have to donate or loan to the Museum for this exhibit. Do you have artifacts or pictures that help tell the story? Is anyone willing to sponsor the exhibit? Also, we are always looking for docents! If you have 2 hours of time that you could donate a week, a month, or even once in a while, please either see Rob Coman, Woody Fridae, or Gloria Lopez or sign up on  our website wintershistory.org.
