Letters: Celebrate kindness this December

Support Local Journalism

December is Kindness Month. Yolo County Library, Winters High School, Winters Rotary, and Resilient Yolo invite you to “be the one” for someone this December. A person’s life can change with one positive connection with another person. Join us by extending an act of kindness to someone this December. It could be something small like talking to someone at lunch that you don’t know and making a new friend or it could be something big. For example, Winters High School Interact and Winters Rotary just gave a local 6th grader who is battling cancer, Tyson, a gift basket with positive cards to lift his spirits this December. He is such an amazing kid. He brought each member of the Winters Interact Club a Team Tyson Bracelet to wear, as shown in the picture above. Post your act of kindness on Social Media with the hashtags #bekindyolo #yolocountylibrary #wintershighschool #wintersrotary #teamtyson. Show a staff member at Winters Community Library and receive a raffle ticket for a variety of prizes including Dutch Bros and Scoop Gift Cards. You can also follow Tyson’s journey by going to his Facebook Page: Prayers and Support for TeamTyson.
