Hello Winters! It’s that time of year again, Calie’s Carnival time: Sunday, Sept. 17, from 12-5 p.m. at the Green River Taproom venue, 4513 Putah Creek Road.

This will be our fourth annual carnival. Every year we learn more and get more community involvement that adds so much to the fun-filled day.

This year, we will have our dunk tank open for challenges. Our petting zoo will be provided by Winters FFA. There will be amazing face painting by Stacey Ringseth of Color Me Cutie and fantastic food including pulled pork sandwiches from Gabe Jimenez.

Food supplies will be donated from both the Buckhorn and Lorenzo’s Market. As always, we have fun carnival games provided by Jon Lopez and kiddie games supplied by WPNS. There will be wonderful entertainment by DJ Barnett and new this year, Winters Got Talent, a singing/talent competition open to kids of all ages. We have prizes for the contestants provided by local businesses and community members.

Our vendors this year include Lula Roe, Arbonne, Scentsy, 3 Boys 2 Love, Gourmet Cupcakes, DoTerra Oils and Blessings Mother and Baby Boutique, and more. Also new this year, we will have two slime making tables complete with supplies to make the fun “new rage” in kids’ crafts with junior helpers to teach kids how to make the slime.

Along with our vast raffle items from places like Berryessa Gap, Seka Hills, Putah Creek and Steady Eddy’s, we will also have wonderful silent auction items available as well. And don’t forget the newly remodeled Green River Taproom that sits directly overlooking the venue for a nice refreshing view of the magical day.

Come one, come all to Calie’s Carnival and bring friends for a fun and giving Sunday afternoon.
