What a wonderful Lighted Tractor Parade

Support Local Journalism

The Winters Chamber of Commerce would like to extend a huge “thank you” to all of the tractor parade participants who came out and put on an amazing parade on Saturday. Your hard work and beautifully decorated tractors were nothing short of amazing, and a wonderful start to the holiday season.

Last year, we had 32 participants, and this year, we had 43 tractor entries. Stating the obvious, we could not have a tractor parade without you. Thank you for coming out.

The list of supporters and “thank you’s” is long, but we would like to give huge thanks to our festival sponsors: The Buckhorn, Putah Creek Café, Preserve, Ficelle, Turkovich Family Wines, Green River Taproom, Martinez Orchards, Farm Credit West, Mariani Nut Company and Wade’s Construction. Thank you, all, for your support.

Thank you to the Cowans for, again, putting in the time and equipment to light our tree, and for all their help in making the parade a huge success.

We would like to thank our girl, Payton Paschoal, for making her involvement in the tractor parade a part of her senior capstone project, and the Winters FFA for organizing the parade contest and making the beautiful awards. Awesome job, guys.

We would also like to give a ginormous “thank you” to all of the volunteers who donated their time, specifically, the crew from PG&E and John and Karen Neil.  Thank you so much — we couldn’t have done it without you.

We would also like to thank Benjamin’s Transfers for the use of the safety vests for our volunteer parade marshals. We would like to give a huge shout-out to our local businesses who accommodated the parade and the thousands of spectators who were in attendance.

Finally, a big thank you goes to our city departments, and police and fire personnel, who came out and made sure everyone had a fun and safe evening. The parade has quickly become a town favorite for local families and visitors alike, bringing in an estimated 5,000 people this year. This is truly a celebration of our community spirit and how grateful we are to be living in this wonderful town.

Thank you all — see you next year.
