Bucks for Ducks 2019, Yolo Basin Foundation’s annual fundraising gala on Friday, October 25 will celebrate its 29th year with both a juried photography exhibit and a fine arts exhibit, entitled “A Celebration of California’s Nature and Agriculture.” The event showcases artists and photographers who support wetlands conservation and education by contributing pieces for the show. The donated work will be auctioned off to the highest bidders at the Bucks for Ducks silent auction. The Foundation encourages artists and photographers to submit their work for this cause.

The juried photography exhibit will include the following categories: plants, animals, landscape, agriculture and open.  All photos must have been taken in California. The last day for submission of photos is Friday, August 23. Complete details can be found at yolobasin.org/b4d-callforphotos.  Last year over 600 images were submitted and 75 were selected.

Submitted artwork must be inspired by nature and/or agriculture in California and created on canvas or wood either 8” x 8” or 8” x 10”. All media is accepted for the art portion of the show. Yolo Basin Foundation has wooden blocks available for painting. This year there are also a limited number of bluebird houses that can be used for submittal. Artwork is due no later than Friday, October 4. Complete details can be found at yolobasin.org/b4d-callforart.
