Each summer, Winters Friends of the Library (WFoL) hosts an unforgettable music experience at the community gazebo in Rotary Park in Winters.
The Winters Downtown Business Association (WDBA), with the support of other local nonprofits, hopes to compliment those memorable Thursday WFoL evenings with music scheduled each Thursday, all summer long — starting last week and continuing through August.
Last week’s concert featured Wild Ginger, a six-piece cover band. Upcoming bands are posted at
The Thursday concerts in June are funded in part by the WDBA and supported by volunteers from nonprofits like the Rotary Club of Winters. The concerts are free, and all are invited to enjoy them.
“Anyone who loves music and wants to have an interesting and enjoyable evening should come down and enjoy themselves,” says Rotary president Gar House.
Organizers invite neighbors to bring a blanket around 6:30 p.m., with music typically starting at 7 p.m.
“Music is the universal language and understood by all, and can be enjoyed by all,” says House. “It’s excellent for building community.”
