Winters VFW Post 11091 Members of the Winters Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 11091 will host its annual Memorial Day Service at the Winters Cemetery on Monday, May 27 at 10 a.m. The service will include an introduction and presentation of the history of the Winters Cemetery District by a member of the Winters cemetery Board of Directors. This Memorial Day service will include musical presentations, including our National Anthem, The Star Spangled Banner, a Flag Half-Staff ceremony conducted by the Winters Boy Scouts, an Invocation, and the Pledge of Allegiance lead by the Winters Girl Scouts. In addition, the service will include a guest speaker and a Memorial Wreath presentation in honor of our military veterans who have served and died in order to protect and preserve our nation. To conclude the service, a salute will be conducted by Winters VFW Post 11091 members and TAPS, the final bugle call, will then be performed to indicate the final honor given to those who have served and died with honor serving this nation. Seating, shade structures and refreshments will be provided by the Winters cemetery staff.
