What would it take for Yolo County to be a community for people of all ages to live and age in place, in other words, to become “Age Friendly”? People of all ages are invited to attend a local community conversation to envision an Age Friendly Yolo County and to hear from our local elected officials and leaders on current and future activities and opportunities for action. The Winters Senior Town Hall will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Winters Community Center, 201 Railroad St. Speakers will include Assemblymember Cecelia Aguiar-Curry and Senator Bill Dodd. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions of elected officials, provide their input and discuss a vision for an age friendly community. The town hall series are co-sponsored by Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance, the Agency on Aging-Area 4, and the Yolo County Commission on Aging and Adult Services. No RSVP is necessary. For more information, contact Sheila Allen at 530-757-5583 or Sheila.allen@yolohealthyaging.org. Spanish translation will be available at the event.]]>
