UC Davis is hosting a LIVE presentation “COVID-19 – Coronavirus & The Holidays” on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 11 a.m. PST with experts who will share perspectives on preventing COVID infection, while supporting older relatives and their family caregivers over the holidays.
With Thanksgiving next week and a lineup of December holidays in site, families and friends are having discussions about how to best celebrate them. The tail end of 2020 is in site, but with California COVID-19 guidelines and county statuses changing regularly UC Davis is bringing in two experts to help provide information on how to safely mark the holidays in a pandemic.
The guest speakers who will be answering questions in addition to sharing information during the live presentation are:
– Natascha Tuznik is an assistant clinical professor in the UC Davis Department of Internal Medicine. She is an infectious disease specialist and former hospitalist who specializes in general infectious diseases and infection control practices.
– Theresa (Terri) Harvath is the senior director for strategic initiatives and director of the Family Care Institute at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing. Her teaching, research and clinical practice center on the health and health care for frail, older people and their family caregivers.
The live conversation, hosted by Soterios Johnson, will be streamed live on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. The livestream will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 on the main UC Davis Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/UCDavis.
Questions for the experts can be submitted via Facebook and Twitter in advance or during the livestream in the comment section.
