Winters High School student, Joanna Cuevas is the Pisani’s Athlete of the Week. Cuevas is a junior at WHS this year. Over the summer she regularly ran for athletic conditioning. Her ultimate goal is to join the cross country team and then move on to soccer, which she has played for the last two years. Her soccer coach Kim Olivas said, “Joanna has been battling injuries since her freshman year and did not play as much as hoped; she is a hard worker, dedicated athlete and continues to hone her skills.”
