Matt Moore, the starting quarterback for the Winters High School varsity football team, is the Pisani’s Athlete of the Week. During the first game of the season Moore completed 16 out of 24 passes for a total of 279 yards, which is the third most yards achieved in Warrior history. He also scored two touchdowns. “Matt is the best quarterback I have had the pleasure of coaching in my 17 years and his ability to throw the ball is why we are so good on offense. More important than his physical abilities is his leadership,” said Daniel Ward, varsity head coach. “He does things the right way and leads by example and is a great role model for the younger kids in our program.”
