The Winters Senior Foundation has been actively providing programming, events and educational opportunities to the senior community in Winters since 2014.

They do not charge any fees or require a membership. Any senior citizen can receive the useful information and participate in socialization opportunities they provide.

WSF hosts monthly events featuring topics that include the history of Winters, elder specific content, seasonal parties, occasional excursions and local entertainment.

They also sponsor a weekly game day for senior citizens that offers a wide variety of games and refreshments. Seniors gather for a few hours each week to to play games and socialize with others.

Three times a year WSF hosts a community-wide opportunities such as their annual Christmas Dinner & Toy Drive, Ice Cream Social and Spring Luncheon.

In addition, they also provided Winters seniors with free medical rides to medical appointments in surrounding cities. And in the winters they sponsor and deliver Christmas gift bags for seniors in need filled with daily, necessary items like laundry soap, dish soap, Kleenex, shampoo/conditioner and toothpaste.

WSF’s focus is toward the enhancement and well-being of seniors living in Winters. However, the 2020 COVID-19 virus has forced the organization to refrain from public gatherings.
