It’s A Wonderful Life is coming to Winters

By Jim Hewlett The Winters Theatre Company will present the holiday classic, It’s A Wonderful Life, based on the 1946 Frank Capra movie starring Jimmy Stewart, Donna Reed, Lionel Barrymore and Henry Travers.  The script, authored by Philip Grecian, features George Bailey, his wife, Mary Hatch, and their lovable children (including the unforgettable Zuzu!), along with many other characters, including an angel named Clarence who is desperate to earn his wings. Performances will take place at the Winters Community Center, starting on Friday, Nov. 16, and continuing through Sunday, Dec. 2; Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m.   The gala opening on Friday, Nov. 16,  will start at 7:30 p.m. and include cheesecake, champagne and plenty of non-alcoholic beverage options as well.  Ticket prices will be $15 for the gala opening. The Saturday, Nov. 17 show will be a benefit for the Winters Music Boosters. Ticket prices for that show will be $15 general admission, $12 for children 12 and under and will include desserts, coffee, hot chocolate and water. All other shows will be $12 general admission, and $10 for seniors and children 12 and under.
