Many of the towns people and Nazis were fighting a fire in a local barn at the time of the landing; a scene depicted in the well documented movie, The Longest Day. While on their trip, Jacobs and Vickrey visited Calis, Dunkirk, Utah Beach, Omaha Beach and Ponte De Hoc and attended a celebration in remembrance of D-Day at the Normandy Cemetery.]]>
