Laurie Winters (left) of Bellingham, Washington, is researching the history of her Uncle Gordon Vale Winters, accompanied by her daughter, Briar. Billie James Bishop of Winters is investigating the history of his uncle, Billie Lee Bishop, also of Winters. They met in Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer, France (near Omaha Beach).
