Ashley Nichole Rubio (Gillilan) fought like a true warrior and ultimately lost her long time battle to breast cancer on January 8, 2021 at the age of 36 at her home in Winters California surrounded by her loved ones. Ashley was born to Lori and Thor Barker on August 10, 1984 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Gatos California. She went to school at Dave’s Avenue Elementary, Fisher Middle School, and Los Gatos High School where she made many lifelong friends. She graduated from Cal Poly State University in 2006 with a degree in Food Science and worked as a Quality Assurance for Anheuser-Busch for 15 years. On July 25, 2016 she married Richard Steven Rubio. Together they share four Beautiful children Callie Lee Johnson 10, Sage Harper Johnson 9, Reid Allen Rubio 5, and Iris Jean Rubio 3 who were the most important part of her life. Ashley was a devoted mother and wife. She enjoyed the outdoors hiking, camping, traveling, and was involved in all her children’s activities. She often had a list of projects ready for Richie to complete and was known for her interior design skills. She was a planner and a list maker, we always had our year booked full of trips. She was loved by all very genuine and kind. Ashley will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her. Ashley is predeceased by her grandfather Tom Ratfield and Uncle Fred Gillilan. Ashley is survived by her husband Richard Steven Rubio, Her children Callie, Sage, Reid, Iris. Her parents, Lori and Thor Barker of Templeton Ca. Her Brother, John Gillilan (Alisa) of San Jose, Ca Her grandmother, Iva Ratfield of Sparks, NV Her siblings Ondrea Bugge (AJ) of Camillus NY. and Lexi Smith (Luke) of Post Falls, ID. Sister-n-law Alicia Reyes (Ed) and Brother-n-law Joseph Rosales (Serafina) Lifelong friend Lauren Wooley Many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and best friends.
