Athlete of the Week – Gianna Carrion

Gianna Carrion, a junior on the Winters High School softball team, is the Pisani’s Athlete of the Week. Carrion has pitched seven out of the eight games so far this season with 58 strikeouts and 15 walks. While Carrion’s strength is in her pitching, she also has over a 300 batting average which is the highest on the team so far. “In spite of the ups and downs of the season so far, Gianna stays positive and completely committed,” said head coach Polita Gonzales.
