Jose Escobedo, a Winters High School senior, is the Pisani’s Athlete of the Week. Escobedo has dedicated his Friday nights to football and his Tuesdays and Thursdays to soccer the past few month. While playing two sports at the same time might be tiring for some, Escobedo doesn’t seem phased by it. He is the starting goalkeeper for the boys varsity soccer team with 73 saves this season. Escobedo has continuously made game winning saves throughout the entire season and was an instrumental part in the boys varsity soccer team success this year. “One of the biggest moments this season was his PK block against Live Oak. We ended up winning the game because of that block,” said coach Fernando Cervantes.
