Athlete of the Week – Yarethzy Sanchez

Yarethzy Sanchez, a sophomore at Winters High School, is the Pisani’s Athlete of the Week. Sanchez put time in during the stay-at-home order to be fully conditioned for the cross country season. Although she missed three weeks in the beginning, she came back on the trail for the end of the season. She ran an 8-minute mile in the 3-mile race against Colusa. Sanchez closed out the season earning all league honors, and is gearing to head back out to the soccer field for the current season.
