Betty Lou Chavez gained her wings on January 25th, 2021. Her life concluded due to the unforeseen battle with Covid-19 at the Woodland Memorial hospital. Betty’s lively spirit and caring nature has touched the lives of many. Her kind, fun-loving, and accepting soul remains in the hearts of her entire family. Those who knew Betty, understand what it felt like to be in the presence of an angel on earth. From her love for great music to her passion for cooking and hosting family gatherings, Betty was a one of a kind, selfless individual. Her infectious laugh and lovable humor created an aura so strong, you couldn’t help but feel pure joy and happiness in her presence. Her unconditional love and compassion lives on through her mother, Josephine, her 5 daughters Lupe, Julie, Cecilia, Veronica, and Crystal, her husband of 37 years, Serafin and her only sister, Patricia. While losing Betty was heartbreaking, we find comfort knowing that she was greeted at Heaven’s gates by her dear father, Jose Escarsega. Betty will be laid to rest this Friday, February 26th at 1:00pm at the Winters Cemetery. If you wish to attend to support Betty’s family, we kindly ask that you follow all safety protocols revolving around Covid-19, keep your distance, and wear a mask. Betty’s family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to all who have supported them during this time.
