Dance classes opening in Winters in September

Applegate Dance is bringing dance class opportunities to Winters this month. Lisa Applegate ran a Summer Dance Camp at the Studio Collective on First Street and has returned with a Fall Session for local dancers ages 5-12. The Fall Session begins on Sept. 14. Available classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays for:

  • Pre-Ballet class for ages 5-6, from 3:15-4 p.m.
  • Beginning Ballet for ages 7-9, from 4-5 p.m.
  • Lyrical Jazz for ages 10-12, from 5-6 p.m.

The Fall Sessions runs from Sept. 14 to Dec. 3, with no class on Sept. 21, Nov. 23 or Nov. 25. Families can enroll online at Questions me or text me at 530-304-5266 or email Applegate Dance specializes in Ballet and Contemporary Dance and performs a variety of dance styles. The school’s passion is to provide a nurturing, fun, affirming, family-like atmosphere where their dancers thrive both physically and mentally. Applegate said she is excited to be bring the art of dance back to the community of Winters again. She has family in Winters and loves the community vibe. Applegate Dance Company was founded in 1992 and its first classes were held at the Winter’s Community Center. Four years later Applegate Dance Studio was built in West Davis. Applegate Dance Company Member, Tara Manners later carried on the tradition of dance in Winters when she opened up her own dance studio, Studio C.
