Dodd hosting virtual town hall on wildfire preparedness next week

Press Release Mark Ghilarducci, director of the California Office of Emergency Services, and Marybel Batjer, president of the California Public Utilities Commission, will be the featured speakers during a virtual town hall on wildfire preparedness that’s scheduled Monday. A statement released by state Sen. Bill Dodd’s office indicated that panelists will focus on the statewide response to California’s wildfires, including improvements to forced blackouts, evacuations and more resilient emergency communications. The town hall will be streamed live over multiple channels and broadcast on KSVY Sonoma. Panelists will take live and submitted questions. Alfredo Pedroza, chairman of the Napa County Board of Supervisors, is also scheduled to participate. The webinar is set to start at 6 p.m. To participate, audio only, go to KSVY.org.
