By Heidi Satter Special to the Express Yolo Basin Foundation is offering summer camp for students entering first through sixth grades. This popular summer education program provides opportunities to discover the science and nature of your local wetlands up-close and in-person. Campers will perform experiments, play games, create art and more in the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area demonstration wetlands. For campers entering first through third grades in the fall, our Wetland Wonders camp session from June 21 to June 25 still has space available! Waitlists are available for the three other camp sessions. Each one-week session runs Monday through Friday in the cool morning hours from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Camp size is limited to 14 campers per session. The cost is $180 for Yolo Basin Foundation members and $200 for non-members. Pre-registration is required. For more information and to register, visit yolobasin.org/summered.
