Firefighters battling a vegetation fire south of Winters achieved 100-percent containment Tuesday afternoon, Cal-Fire officials said.
The fire, which was reported at 2:59 p.m., began at the intersection of Allendale and Timm Roads in Solano County, halfway between Winters and Vacaville. It burned 81 acres before full containment was reached by 6 p.m..
Cal-Fire said no structures were damaged or threatened, and a firefighting force including the Winters Fire Department were quick in achieving full containment.
