Gloria González Alarcón, 68, of Winters, California, passed away and went home with the Lord on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. Gloria was born October 27, 1951, in Garcia de La Cadena, Zacatecas, Mexico, the daughter of the late Federico González and the late Eduarda Valle González, both of Garcia de La Cadena, Zacatecas, Mexico. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Luis P. Alarcón and brother, Gustavo González. She is lovingly remembered by her children Gloria D. González of Petaluma, CA, José (Sherrie) Alarcón of Elk Grove, CA, and Juan “Frankie” (Patty) Alarcón of Vallejo, CA; grandchildren Vaneza Villagómez, Erik Villagómez, Lilyana Alarcón, Lucas Alarcón and Vanessa Stroud; great-granchild Hunter Denison; brothers Francisco (Rosa) González of Madison, CA and José (Catalina) González Valle of Santa Barbara, CA, plus numerous loved half siblings. Gloria was a devoted wife, a tender and caring sister, a loyal friend, and a loving and prayerful mother and grandmother. She was a charismatic and Spirit-led servant of Christ. Gloria intentionally shared God’s authentic love with her family and everyone she met. To know her was to be genuinely loved and prayed for. Gloria spent most of her life as a Laborer in the Agricultural field and then her retired years as a Crossing Guard for Winters School District. Due to the current pandemic, memorial services will be delayed until further notice, at which time there will be a Celebration of Life memorial service. Gloria will be laid to rest in the Winters Cemetary.
