Harold Franklin Haywood, son of George and Nora Haywood, born March 1, 1923 in Dayton, Ohio. He was called to his Heavenly Home January 12, 2021. He graduated High school at age 17, delivered milk in horse and buggy until he was 19 then was hired to drive a public bus for Dayton Suburban Bus line. He joined the Army/Airforce as soon as he was able to and later joined the Airforce after the Army and Airforce were made separate militaries. He was shipped to Japan during the allied forces occupation. He remained in Japan for 4 ½ years then returned to Edwards Air Force base in California. He met Faye Pinkston of Winters California January 3rd 1950 in Reno Nevada and they were married April 8th 1950. After completing his obligation to the Air Force he was Honorably Discharged. They moved to Detroit Michigan area where he had a 35 year career driving bus for Greyhound. While there Harold and his wife raised 7 kids. In 1971 they moved back to Winters California. After retiring from Greyhound Harold went to work driving trucks for Mayflower and later his own trucks. Harold is proceeded in death by his parents George and Nora Haywood and his wife of over 65 years Faye Coleen. Survivors include daughter Shirley, sons Glen, Larry, Eugene, Christopher, Richard and John, eight Grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society. Internment will be in the Winters Cemetery next to his wife Faye
