Karen “Carolina” Elizabeth Lorenzo was born Oct. 25, 1959 in Peninsula Hospital, Burlingame to Michael and Barbara Wright. She had two siblings: Susan Wright and Sarah Warren. Karen loved her family more than anything. She was a loving daughter and sister, a devoted wife, and a wonderful mother. Raising her two sons, Johnny and Anthony, was Karen’s greatest passion in life. She dove into motherhood headfirst and embraced every moment of it. She never missed a game, was always there to lend a helping hand, and welcomed her sons’ friends into their home with open arms. Karen was a dedicated partner in the family business and loved working beside her husband, John. She was involved in Beta Alpha Beta, Winters Little League, and the local choir and graduated from UC Davis. She was a longtime resident of Winters: having lived there for 46 years after moving from Esparto in 1975. She loved to travel to new places and meet new people, but her favorite place on earth was their quaint family cabin in the woods. She enjoyed the peaceful serenity where she could get lost in a book for hours and be surrounded by family and friends. Karen is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years: John R. Lorenzo, and her sons Johnny and Anthony Lorenzo. Services will be held on August 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Yolo Fliers Country Club, Woodland, after the burial at Winters Cemetery.
