Kevin Matthew Kellogg was born on November 17, 1993 in San Jose. Sadly, he unexpectedly passed away on July 3, at the age of 27. Since an early age Kevin was athletically inclined, even learning to ride a two-wheel bike before the age of two years old. As he grew up playing 8 years of AYSO soccer. He was known for, defending his team’s goal and scoring for his team in the same play. He also played several positions during 5 years of Little League Baseball. Kevin joined the Boyscouts of America, and traveled from Cub Scouts through Boy Scouts and even into the United States Marines. Kevin always enjoyed Holy Family Youth Group, participating in the Youth Mass, and Retreats with his friends. As a High School Student in his Senior year, he volunteered many hours working to feed the homeless at Martha’s Kitchen in San Jose. He extended his mission to help the less fortunate with a passionate mural of photos, interviews, and personal life stories for an amazing Senior Project. To his dying day, he reached out to homeless people, stopped and talk with them, and made sure they had their basic needs met. He always treated everyone with enormous compassion and unconditional love. Kevin is survived by his mother, Diane Kellogg and six siblings, eleven nieces and nephews and three godchildren. Services will be held on Monday July 12 at 10 am at St. James Church, 1275 B Street, Davis, followed by burial at the Winters Cemetery, 413 W. Grant Ave., Winters, CA.
