A Winters Express Letter to the Editor

The Historical Society of Winters and the Winters Museum would like to invite the public to the opening of our new exhibit, “The Lost Japanese Community of Winters” on Thursday, June 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. Please come by and see this moving tribute to those who contributed so much to the history of Winters. At one time, there was a very substantial population of Japanese citizens that were involved in agriculture, business and community. In addition to photos, there are artifacts, videos and first-hand stories told by present and former residents. Please join us Thursday at our opening. Also, remember, the Museum is open Thursdays through Sundays, from 1 to 5 p.m. If you are interested in helping as a docent, you may sign up for a two-hour shift at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/508094ea9aa2aa5fb6-winters.
