At the annual Winters High School graduation ceremony, students who have achieved academic achievements are recognized for their hard work and efforts. The honor is a recognition bestowed upon them by the State Superintendent of Public Instruction for attaining a high level of proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in one or more languages in addition to English. Requirements are: Must pass English 9-12 with a 2.00 or better; Receive a score of Standard Met or Standard Exceeded on ELA portion of SBAC test during 11th grade; Passed an AP Spanish test with a score of three or better OR passed four years of Spanish with 3.00 or better.
