The Vacaville Museum: Solano County Center for History & Culture, is inviting kids and their adult buddies to participate in a free Family Fun Day on Saturday December 14, 2019—10:30-12:00 at the Museum. Using three of the 30 exhibits in the Museum’s current and very popular show, Solano Collects, as a platform for this unique workshop, participants will enter each exhibit and experience the collection first-hand from their three special collectors.  During the event, kids and adults will churn butter the old fashioned way; learn how nurses cared for folks in days gone by, and today—even getting to listen to their own heartbeats; and build unique Lego creations with Solano County’s “Lego Lady”.   In addition to all the workshop hands-on fun, participants will get their very own private museum tour of all 30 amazing and varied exhibits that make up Solano Collects. Expect some greatl surprises, as well. What a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season with that special child, grandchild or young friend age 6-16.  Space is very limited for this free fun event.  Make your reservations now so you can join the fun.
