Yolo County Library announced that on July 6 they would be expanding their open hours at all Yolo library branches, including at the Winters Community Library. The newly expanded library schedules included new curbside service hours and the addition of special hours where face coverings are required, including fully vaccinated individuals. The new service hours for the Winters Community Library are: Monday from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. (Masks required 10 a.m.–12 p.m.) Tuesday from 12–8 p.m. Wednesday from 10 a.m.–4p.m. (Masks required 10 a.m.–12 p.m.) Thursday 4–8 p.m. (masks required 4–6 p.m.) Saturday 1–5 p.m. Although fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear masks inside the library, they are expected to wear a face covering during the new designated “Masks Required” hours. Individuals who have only had the first vaccine dose (of either the Pfizer or Modern vaccine cycle) or who are not vaccinated, including children, must continue to wear a mask while in the library. The Yolo County Library website it was noted they are offering these options to make their services more accessible to the vulnerable and unvaccinated communities in the county. The Curbside Pickup hours have changed to one day a week. Visitors can now access Curbside Pickup opportunities on Thursdays from 12–3 p.m. Service Changes The Winters Community Library, and other Yolo library branches, are resuming the fees for printing, compying and faxing services. Charges are 20 cents per page for black and white copies and printouts, 50 cents per page for color copies (photocopier), and $1 per page for color printouts from the computers. For faxing services, the Yolo County Library asks residents to contact their local library branches for details and availability. The library staff have resumed accepting payments (cash and checks) for past overdue items or lost materials at all Yolo library branches. Online payment options will continue on the Yolo County Library website. Services offered at the Winters Community Library location include:

  • Public computers, WiFi.
  • Color, black and white printing, copying and scanning.
  • Faxing.

Service details are as follows:

  • The public computers are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Usage is limited to one person per computer station.
  • All returns should continue to be put in the outside return slot.
  • Staff assistance is limited and will be socially distanced.
