Yolo-Solano District hosting Clean Air Calendar Contest

By Stephanie Holliday Special to the Express The Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District is accepting entries for its 2022 Clean Air Calendar Contest. The contest is open to all children and teens – kindergarten to 12th grade – who live in Yolo County and the northeastern portion of Solano County that includes Dixon, Rio Vista and Vacaville. Twelve contestants will be selected to have their artwork featured in the calendar, receive a $30 Amazon gift cart, a certificate of achievement, and recognition in a future press release. “You’re the Key to a Clear Air Future” is the theme of the calendar. Artwork should be inspired by why clean air is important to you and how we can have clean air in the future. This contest is free to participate in and all entries must be submitted by 4 p.m. Oct. 1 and can be sent in by mail or via email. Entry form are required for all submissions. The forms are available in English and Spanish.
