The Winters Little League and Girls Softball Program is one of the many summer programs that is provided for the youth that reside within the Winters Community. The Little League Program is run by volunteers who focus on helping children develop skills that will help them thrive both on and off the baseball field.

This program has several divisions that allows anyone between the ages of 4 and 14 to join a team and develop discipline, teamwork and improve and strengthen their physical health and capabilities. The 5 divisions include the Tee-Ball division, Minor division, Major division, Intermediate division and Juniors. Each division is made up of players based on the age of the child, which allows players to build lasting friendships.

The Tee-Ball division is designed as an introduction to baseball and allows children to develop ball-game skills and a love for the game. While Tee-Ball is designed for beginners it is never too late to start. The coaches in the Winters Little League program are happy to work with players with all different skill levels.

Players who participate in this program will learn the values of good sportsmanship as they are given the opportunity to play with and against their friends. While winning is always fun, the Winters Little League program is focused more on skill development, building new friendships and having fun.

Parents and community members will say that the Winters Little League program is made possible because coaches and parents are willing to give their time and energy into making sure the players have a good time. Winters Little League is an all-volunteer league. Many parents, grandparents and relatives devote their personal time and money into supporting and operating the league. Help is always needed and greatly appreciated.

Baseball season typically begins in March and runs through the month of June. The Winters Little League program welcomes players with all different skill levels and is always looking to add more players to the program.
