The recognition keeps rolling in for the Winters High School varsity baseball team. The Sacramento Bee choose their All Metro team and placed six Warriors on the list. Anthony Carrion was named to the Sacramento Bee 2018 First Team All Metro Team. Sammy Gonzales and Daniel Carrion both made Second Team, while Brandon Gomez, Jacob Roberts and Ruben Valencia all were named Honorable Mentions.

Coach Jeff Ingles had nothing but praise for his players and was surprised to get so many of them chosen.

“First we had four of them make the All Northern Section First Team, which has never been done before, at least not that remember,” Ingles said. “Now getting four of them on the All Metro Team is pretty amazing. It’s nice to see them getting the attention they deserve.”
