Picking up right where she left off from last season, Vanessa Ceja has hit the wrestling mat with a full head of steam for the 2017-18 season. On Saturday, Nov. 25, the girls wrestling team sent three competitors to the Folsom High School Girls Invitational Tournament and had a great showing.

“They had a great tournament,” coach Andy Gomez said. “Out of 29 teams we placed ninth with three girls.”

Vanessa Ceja won her division with three pins, while her sister, Valeria Ceja, went 3-2 for a fifth-place finish. Eli Moore went 3-2 with a fourth-place finish. All three wrestlers had three pins each.

The Warriors will travel to Stockton on Saturday, Dec. 2, to compete in the McNair Invite.
