Halks return to teach dance in Winters

Support Local Journalism

I am starting dance classes in September at the Life Center, 201 Main Street. Classes will run three months on Tuesdays, September, October and November, as well as Dec. 5, with a show tentatively planned for Dec 8. I plan to expand to Tuesday and Thursday in the new year, pending interest.

Growing up dancing and acting in the community was so special to me. I am really excited to work with the next generation. I have been blessed to work with children all over the world and it is wonderful to feel the complete circle of coming home.

Heather Halk’s Minds in Motion Dance Education is thrilled to come to Winters!

I will be working with my mother, legendary Winters dance teacher Sylvia Halk, which brings a combined 60-plus years of teaching experience with up to date research-based methods. Minds in Motion creates a fun and cohesive learning experience for your dancer. The first class is free.
